NOS red Caramba brake levers

I'd be all over these if they were for cantis (and I'm local to you, too!).

They're called the Voracious Lever. Here's some info from the old Caramba site:

Voracious Lever

Caramba redesigned the brake lever from the inside out to create the V-Brake specific Voracious Lever. Because lever slop is a function primarily of pivot height and width, Caramba equipped the Voracious Lever with a 7/8" tall x 1/2" wide pivot. The Voracious Lever also uses a return spring to compensate for the V-Brake's relatively weak spring and inner cable lead induced friction. The Voracious Lever works with all twist and trigger shifters and gives the rider unparalleled brake feel and power.

Features:

Monocoque Split clamp body, which allows the rider to remove levers without removing grips.
Grip Shift Compatibility.
Wide 1/2" Brake Lever Surface.
Replaceable barrel adjuster internal threaded surface.
One tool serviceability.
Double pinch bolts.
Completely rebuildable.
Material: CNC'd 7075 T6 Aluminum
Colors: Silver Lever w/ XTR Gray, Silver, or Red Clamp.

Wow, thanks for that information! If you don't mind I'm going to add it to the auction :)

I was actually surprised when my initial research indicated that they were V-brake specific...they seem very overbuilt, and that look conjures images of Campy OR and other early 90's era components in my mind.

Where in VA are you? I'm in Falls Church...so if you see a guy on the trails riding one of several old Proflexes, that's probably me :)

Thanks again for the info!
- Doug :)

No problem. By all means add it to the auction -- I pulled it direcly from the old Caramba site (via the Wayback Machine). ;)

I'm in Arlington. Look for me on my "new" toy ('96 EWR E-Motion).

Sounds good :) Do you ever make it to Wakefield or any of the other local parks within riding distance? I catch the CCT to Wakefield near Fairfax Hospital, but still haven't been to Shaeffer or some other area haunts.
