Offering over inflated stuff on Retrobike as if its doing the community a favour is totally out of spirit.
Sometimes I will look at something I want to sell and think this should go for silly money and has wide appeal so I put it straight on eBay. Let the market dictate the price. Other times I think well this is something a fellow Retrobiker will appreciate at a sensible price and it will simply get lost on eBay. It is rare, unusual colour a component of another part etc.. Obviously you will list a strong price initially but that is after comparing with what has sold before on Retrobike.
You don't alienate your market if you do want to sell stuff. I think others have learnt this also.
Thanks
