Rare opportunity to purchase a New Old Stock (NOS) super bike from the mid 80s.
Frameset:
Number 1296 of 2000 ever built, the frame is a NOS 1987 Daccordi "50 Anni" anniversary. Handmade in Italy, Columbus SLX steel tubes, all lugs are brazed with silver. Fork, lugs and the rear frame are chromed, Pantographs throughout. These are often repainted and never the same as when new, like this one, the deep blue hue is almost impossible to replicate. The decals are simply stunning, they come to life when viewed in person and its hard to see the workmanship in photos alone. 52cm
Groupset:
The groupset is also NOS, the famous and rare Campagnolo 50th Anniversary groupset. Beautiful engineering and production, the like of which you don't see today. This group was released in 1983 to commemorate Campagnolo's 50th year in business. Group #0001 was retained in the Campagnolo museum, and #0002 was presented to Pope John Paul ll. This is group number 1210. The group was based on the Super Record and Cobalto group of the era and was top of the range, with some significant extra touches. Most pieces were marked by a 22 carrot gold logo with a raised/textured Campagnolo shield logo. All pieces contained an engraved signature of Tullio Campagnolo, and a special "50th" logo.
The bike is finished off with 3TTT Bars and special 3TTT Pantographed Daccordi Stem. Complete with Turbo saddle and Campagnolo Delta Strada XL Rims.
This bike is a true work of art!
