NOS bikes?

I'm thinking of getting a beer scooter.. i.e a reliable newish bike i can tour the local pubs with, while I play with my other project cycles.

Does anyone know a retail outfit that sells NOS bikes? What I'm think of is getting a bargain 2005/6/7 model MTB.

beer is important to me! I live a fair way from the good pubs, so I want a bike that just works.and is light.

My aim is to get a £1000 '06 bike for £500 or a £1500 for £750,

I'm happy to pay for quality and lightness.

I dont trust ebay!

and house rules are...

No beer in the house! Its the only way i can keep my weight down, so no need for a rack!

Any of the big retailers CRC,Evans,wiggle,ribble etc can usually get better deal if you call up and haggle or even go into a store

I'll second Pauls Cycles – got my NRS from there a couple of years back (half price), even knocked a bit off a set of SPDs at the same time. Bike comes in a box and needs the bars putting on etc. But no different than any other mail order setup and the chap I spoke to was great.

Highly recommended.
