NOS 97(?) GT Zaskar frame yellow

I think it is 97 due to standard dropouts. In 98 Zaskars were updated with CNC dropouts.

Agreed, but forgive my ignorance - but how would this frame come to have an unthreaded bb?

This ->

Going off location would guess this perhaps found it's way out the back door of Carratti who imported GT back then.

Worked in one of their shops bitd and we occasionally had stuff like this come in. Recall a batch of '97 Zaskars with flattened top tubes, had one for a while.

According to 98 catalog, Zaskar and LE, both have CNC bits, unless frames may vary from German market.

Then again, in other catalog are standard propouts :?

I suppose I shouldn't rely on catalogs too much.

Page 53 of the first catalogue show the frame only option without the CNC too. I think the photo of the complete bike is wrong, strange. According to the english version of that first catalogue (I have a copy), the CNC mentioned in the german description refers to the head tube and seatpost clamp . Page 53 picture of frame shows no seatpost clamp on the Zaskar though :LOL: . Zaskar LE had CNC dropouts, seatstay bridge, BB shell, head tube and seatpost clamp.
