Norwegian" Intense M1 Shaun Palmer Tribute bike "NOT the USA Flag bike" :)

Next up was some items i had been looking around for for a good amount of time
Magura Raceline rim brakes,,and Azonic Shorty stem
The Shorty stem was supposedly a 100mm one..as written on a spec setup picture of Shauns bike..but the picture clearly shows a 80mm version. So that is what i hunted down. And i finally found one for a good price..and in pretty good condition
Also the Maguras have been on my list for a long time..but i did not pull the trigger until the price was right for a good enough set.
The set i got was veeery nice actually. Some marks etc...but i do not mind parts to look " used"...but they cannot be horrible looking either.
Also...a part that i found out that i needed, was a strengthening brace for the handlebar. A Club Roost "Go Fast" brace.
The cool thing is that i was down in the basement, and i looked at my other bikes..and i noticed that a bike that i recently had got back, after selling it to a friend of mine back in 1997..and bought it back in june 2024.....This bike actually had THIS excact Club Roost Go Fast brace.Talk about beeing lucky :)
This shows the 100mm Azonic stem that i also got hold of. But found out it was indeed a 80mm one that was on Shauns bike

I put the 100mm stem on my Lobo, and the 80mm stem on the Intense :) Win Win :)

And my lovely ODI grips that i was able to find NOS.
These are not specific to Shauns bike..but rather specific to the ones i have on my Lobo...which in turn are original to my Lobo with it beeing a custom /me build in 1998 :)
They are super nice to hold on to,and i also love the look of them

Also..this picture is abit cool
The decal/placement was ,and is still a little thing of debate for me.
The yellow bike i am replicating,,is supposed to have the SWAG decal on the main frame...but i LOVE the way it was placed on Shauns USA flag bike...on the lower chainstay.I just think its sooo iconic..so i am torn to where i want it to be placed..as i also am in debate wether to use the thin lower chainstay,,or the later thicker chainstay..
I have ended up with the conclusion that i have to have the SWAG decal on the main frame.
And rather sticker up whatever the rear frame combo i end up with,,with the "Intense / Palmer" decals put on there.

Next up,was the tires.
I REALLY want a set of NOS IRC Missile 2.25 tires.BUT they are pretty hard to find, and i havent had any luck at this point.
THOUGH i did come across a different type of " older" IRC tires, called "Trailbears". They are the same dimensions, and also basically the same thread pattern ,almsost. And the particular set i came across,,was NOS...so got these home. And to be honest,,they work pretty good for the build.Obviously not 100 percent..but just haveing a set that has the same " red" sidewall..and somewhat the same pattern...is " mission complete"
But if you do have any NOS IRC Missiles for me..please let me know :)
