(also in the archive here, but all credit to Stewart Pratt for keeping Konaretro on line)

headset 1 1/8
frame 'suspension-corrected', i.e. 71 head angle with fork of length 41cms, so some would say a modern 80mm travel fork would be ok, some like me would say it would be slightly too long and give slightly slack handling - so a period Judy or similar might be better.

cheers for the help

when i was riding it a lot i`ve upgraded headset, front and rear mech to LX, i know ive changed the rear casette to something, fred salmon front canti`s,

just put some new club roost lock on grips, ordered some second hand spd`s with the cage around them like i used to have, need some shoes, what else can i buy...

Ben, just remember to ask here first. For everything! (including advice).

will do!

this might as well turn into my introduce my self thread, i`ll get some pics soon, not that no-one will not have seen it before!

still i think its a cool bike especially as i bought it when i was 16yr old

Hello mate, didn't realise it was you from the CF!

As for bounce on the Kona, gotta be a set of period correct Marzocchis, maybe an XC51 or XC500... get some pics up!
