NOLEEN REAR SHOCK

If I remember right it holds a small quantity of air .

When i had my RTS 2 , I thought that it would be fun to open the shock to see what was inside .

When I opened it some air went out , and i had to take it back to the dealer .
So I might be wrong but it is probbly to put some air in it .

I need to add that , I was convinced it was a oil/spring shock and that no air was inside , till I opened it .

slim,

upgraded the elastomers to a noleen shock unit then?
where did you get the shock from?
mine already had a noleen shock on it when i got it, but i was wondering about spares / service etc.

NAH !!
this was for the RTS , i had seen a few on the american e bay but they were $149.00
so i thought i would hang on a bit till the bike funds built up a bit , and then get one
then just browsing the bay as we do , and under ROCK SHOX this little bugger pops up £25.00 BUY IT NOW been on for 3 days already
and i just whacked that button before i even had time to think !!!!!

have been toying with the idea of getting a spare GIRVIN ODS and trying to get that to fit , without altering the frame

do have a sort of plan in the making

but it does involve altering the shock quite dramatically , well not so much the shock but the way its mounted ( upside down )

i will let you know how it turns out ????

oh yeah , as for servicing ,CVI was the place , but there is talk that it has closed down
so girvin , risse and noleen have no service anywhere else as far as i know ( yet ) except the US

i did my own oil change on the ODS , easy enough , no tools needed !!

i saw that noleen shock for the gt advertised on ebay.
pretty cheap price i reckon. :)

compared to the US ones at $149 plus shipping , looking at £100.00

so £29.00 in my grubby little hands , pretty cheap ;)

you can still get them serviced at http://www.stendec-works.com as they uses the same seals as fox RC parts, cost around £54. Although i have some original seals and a nitro charger gauge and needles specifically for that noleen shock. But cost over £100 back in 99 so i would want £50. cheers

It should be possible to adapt one FOX air shock with special ends to the RTS frame.

Only need to make some research first and see if it´s possible.
