I have a nice fork, I know that risse do a shock for the fork but recently saw a fork for sale with a fox air shock that looked fairly standard.

Does anyone know what alternative shocks might fit the fork? If so, which, and what modifications might be needed? Lastly, if an air shock will make a difference, good or bad, to the forks performance?

Thanks.

did some digging and I feel like I saw that the leverage ratio was too low and made the fork feel funky as the air shock would be on the lower end. 50mm of stroke for 80mm of travel vs 50mm of stroke for 130mm of travel which is more common and so the shock is built for more of that. I think some of the lowest leverage ratios off the top of my head are in the rear of the GT rts and foes 2:1 but those both use special shocks so thats different. Maybe if you messed with shim stacks and whatnot you could get it feeling good but not worth it imo

Thanks. Was only considering it if it made a positive difference. Sounds like perhaps the only air option worth thinking about is the risse as designed for it, but I'm not desperate to spend that kind of money. If s cheap one turns up I may give it a go.
