I do love all this stuff too, but I don't have the space, money, time or skill...yet.
Would love to learn how to weld...but I can't even solder yet so it isn't looking good.
Mainly though - all this makes me think of Mad Max...and I love all of those creations as much as the Cars that ate Paris.

You don't need to be able to weld whatsoever. I'm going to show you to a very deep rabbit hole here. Ratrod Bikes is a forum dedicated to this type of insanity. They're currently having their big annual build contest, fifty or so people creating rad bikes. Anything marked "Traditional" is a backyard type class, no welding or major modifications allowed. You'd be amazed by the amount of creativity that can be exercised without the help of a torch.
