No love for Marin?

Been keeping an eye on sales for an early to mid 90's Pine Mountain or Indian Fire Trail frame, but have never seen one in the time I've been looking.

Steel Konas by the score, the odd Clockwork and P1 but no Marins. Why is this? People keep hold of them, or just not rated? I had a Pine Mountain BITD, and always regretted selling it.

I've never seen an IFT for sale but early Pine Mountains appear on ebay from time to time, through they're invariably hammered... Good luck with your quest.

Sold a 1994 Pine Mountain frame on ebay for £5.50 in the summer. :(

No interest here, it even had a nice flam custom paint job.

Just wait, there will be a few along soon. The Zolatone ones have a following, the later models seemingly not.

i think there is a lot of love here for Marins and rightly so, seems many have them in their collection, prices are good and as said they are a fab bike.

I think thats why the IFT doesnt come up very often, i would love the one with the cnced stay bits personally.

checkout Benandemus collection of team and ti's

I have a 1995 Bear Valley SE. Great bike but the entire bike in original working order apart from an upgrade to slicks, full length mudgaurds, a back rack and Deore V brakes set me back £80.

For me the bike of choice would be a 1989 Marin Muirwoods but they son't seem to come up that reguarly.

I woudl love a 89-90 marin team or pin mountain. had one BITD awesome. i think Kona came a logn and laods of people prefered the straigh forks. better geo onthe marin though.

happy hunting.

Fan of the Zolatone era of Marin here and have a 1991 Eldridge ready to restore.

They do come up so keep looking. Seems the higher up the Marin range you go, the rarer they become as I've been looking out for a 90 or 91 Team since I joined the site with no joy. There's been a fair few Eldridge, Pine Mountain and IFT's on the site in the last year though. Have a search through the for sale section as a member's been trying to sell a lovely 92 Eldridge for ages with no luck. Probably down to the price being a little bit naughty.

FYI I've sold both a 90 Eldridge + 95 IFT on here and my mate has bought a mint 1991 Pine Mountain + 1989 Palisades through retrobike ;)

I'd love a nickel-finish Pine Mountain when I can afford it and justify it.

I'd be super-tempted by this one if it wasn't collection only from Cardiff:

Either that or the Zig Zag Trail, but I know what my chances of finding one of them are.
