original aliens were steel, and painted white as you recall.

the alien acx had a square-tubed alloy main triangle with a bolt-on steel rear end. a friend has one in a nice red/orange/copper color, and apparently they could be had in black as well.

I asked him tt measurement and he said 22.5.
The cranks and hubs are Deore not XT.
