Contacted the seller about the unique cable route. Response was
"it does have the cable guides but the cable route didnt sit very well at the rear,it gave it too sharp of an angle into the v brake noodle, i guess there are better options than tape, but if you win, that could be your decision"
I was thinking I could glue the cable as a better option - no messy tape marks.
