Nice Barn-find Marin

Based on the serial number I make it a 1993 and the underlying model is unclear. The components are pretty low end, but it's a beauty!

The owner won it at some contest and he said it literally sat in his basement for 25+ years.

Thoughts on the model?

I guess. At first it looked like Palisades Trail, but that has more purple color and mine is blue.

looks to me someone has painted it a different shade of blue to muirwoods I would say bobcat trail ...... fork decal is green and shifters were fitted to that model.

No that is exactly the muirwoods color sceme. And all the parts fit the catalogue spec.

I'm a Marin fan and this one is a keeper but do bikes like that with some other brand i.e. Reebok have any extra value?

That’s just a sticker npn , that somebody has added on . The Marin logo on the fork should be blue too , instead they are green .
