Wanted Nice and light 1” threaded headset

I have a spare Mavic 315 (minus the little black band that covers the Allen bolt groove above the yellow band) and 2 Stronglight A9s with needle bearings (I love these, they are super light and last for yonks) if any are of interest.

Mavic would be 45 posted.

NOS Stronglight the same.

Lightly used Stronglight would be 35 posted.

If any are of interest I can send more pics.

Double U-brakes were awesome !

As were double Saracen Trekkers!

Had not really considered selling U-brakes separately without Saracen Trekker frame-set attached / inc. as a package. But realise most sales on here are generally parts only.

Am currently off-bike / work with broken collar bone so planning on putting up some for sale items soon - although obviously moving quite slowly just now!View attachment 716248
Love this photo!

It’s what was said earlier, I remember that my steerer is quite short and probably can’t accommodate that…

And I like the stronglight but probably want a different style😕

And sorry for not responding to your onza ho pedals, I missed out on a set for £12 so was sort of basing my price on that, don’t think I could spend £45 on a set of pedals if that’s ok with you

Cheers👍

What length is your headtube + steerer can compare with threaded steerer on my RC35s which I ran on my Stumpy + Mavic headet to give idea of compatility…

No worries.

Hope you find something suitable :)

The Mavic headsets have a pretty tall stack, might be worth checking how tall you can go (fork steerer tube length minus headtube length in mm).

This NOS Specialized alloy pro is pretty light ;-)

Mavic headset is 38-44mm stack needed, by design it has a range.
M735 (XT) is ~33mm so would need a steerer that is shorter.
Of course you can make a steerer shorter* but not longer.

*Not always easily though.

@Mod-Master figure out your stack max, then it's not wild guessing.
It'll make life easier :)

So headtube length in mm
And steerer tube length, (bottom of where the crown race would sit against to the top).
Difference is how much leeway you have (stack height of a threaded headset)

Canti's and v-brake have the same boss position, u-brake are in a different place (higher up and they're a bit different)
