Next Zaskar build

Just got a reply from Olympic Powder Coating! copied below

Cool old pictures,
The frame found it's way all the way to England?
The coating looks like a powder that we had made to match the Yamaha
Supercross bikes we did for them back in the '90's.
It was custom powder so there's no color code and even if there was a color
code you can't touch up powder coating. The only way to fix the paint is to
either strip it down and re-powder coat it or take it to an automotive paint
supply house and have them make paint to match.
Good luck,
Mark Cherry

yep, touch ups are available for yamaha 0564 "Deep Purplish Blue Metalic C" or DPBMC for short!

nice small 2001 race,
I love my 2001 race, i know it was made in Taiwan and GT were going though some turbulent times at that point, but its a great bike- the one I normally choose. Light and fast.

love the powdercoat story! felnzo on ebay, sometimes has those made in usa decals available. originals.

cheers merckx
i'll keep a look out, although i think now, i will touch it up rather than repaint.
glad to see i'm not the only GT nut

Your decals are model year 99. The rear dropout will show month and year of production.

Original colour is still in decent condition - I would do nothing or just touch up.

I think silver parts will look very nice.
