Next Year's (now This Year's) Classic Rides

I've just stuck my Pendle Witches application in the post, as a sort of premature new year's resolution, and I've not even finished polishing off Grandma Goldie's christmas batch of mince pies yet. :D

Top man Goldie! Look forward to seeing you there.

Mark.

I've coerced a few riding chums to accompany me on the Anjou Velo Vintage.

They're all southerners though!

Roadking.

Here's another 'event' which should interest us.

http://penniesinthepark.co.uk/

It's the same event that was held in Matlock last year but it seems to have expanded considerably. Thoresby Hall is an excellent place to stay - but not exactly inexpensive. I'm hoping that there may be a classic bike display and associated ride.

If my daughter moves to France then I could well be joining you! Not to far from Chartres to Anjou.

And maybe the 'La Patrimoine' as well.

Me too!

Now to practice climbing some hills. Shouldn't be to difficult around here  ;)

Now, which bike to ride??

Rides and Anniversaries.

Taking bike to see the TdF too.

Oh, and the Olympic flame is here in Lincolnshire - not far from the house either!

And the Anjou Velo Vintage, centred on Saumur on the Loire - my Wife's Dad was there in 1952 on his Hobbs of Barbican.

Lots of anniversaries this year, another being the 20th anniversary of my motorcycle ride to the Barcelona games (and the Seville Expo').

I do get about :) .

Well, the last TT stage of TdF finishes in Chartres where daughter and partner may be living and starts in Bonneval - where partner's sister lives. Guess where I may be in the middle of July ;) :D

No need to guess where I'll be...have been going to France for the TdF since 1984.

Only missed a few years...mainly during the Armstrong era so no great loss.
