Evening all.

New to the forum so I thought I'd drop in and say hi.

I've actually just begun road biking having spent my childhood on mountainbikes. Thinking of selling my old Cannondale to fund the new road bike habit, but thought I'd introduce myself first!

Any tips on using the site gratfully recieved.

Cheers guys,

I've just bought a Peugeot 2000 Competition Road bike to compete in a triathlon. Pretty good retro look about it, I'll get some photos taken and post them up. Try and get them done when I get my Cannondale photographed to post up in the 'for sale' bit!

This place is a bloody money pit. :(
You'll never be satisfied, there will always be another bike you suddenly remembering lusting after or that part that adorned the glass case in your LBS[local bike shoppe].
Not taking into account all the beautiful bikes on this site, you never knew existed, and will now want

So Welcome new person

HELPFUL TIPS-

Try not to swear too much, the mods have sensitive ears and are ever watchful.

Plan the building of your new road bike carefully, everyone got it wrong the first time.Plenty of roadies on here to ask advice from.

FEEDBACK FORUM-Set up a page for yourself then add it to your profile,it automatically adds a button to the bottom of each your posts.PM[private mail] a moderator, they'll be more than happy to walk you through the process ;)

Posting Pictures-It depends on what operating system but windows has a good laughingly easy program called windows pic re-sizer[I know mad isn't it,so farout ].Its part of their free power-toys stuff, likely there's a version available to download from their site for all the windows systems.

Look up other members in your area, and ride with them if you can. They really are a mild friendly lot when you meet them in the flesh.

A big bonus is they're the only friends that you will have that don't turn their eyes to heaven when you start talking bikes

Howdoo,

Only tip is don't join- it's like heroin, you think you'll be fine but before long you'll be selling your mothers jewellery for bike parts...

Thanks everyone. Been a member on a Snowboarding forum for years so know a bit about forum ettiquette (sp?). Hope to get some pics of my bikes posted up over the weekend.

My Peugeot

Unfortunately I don't yet have a photo of the road bike I've recently bought, but I found a photo on Google of one very similar, so here it is. Real photo's to follow when I sort a camera out.
