A friend of mine has one of those Club Roost Heckler-copies, but he has the decency to have no stickers on his. It works fine, but it isn't a copy of a Superlight, and I don't think it is even as light as a standard Heckler. Nor is it anything like retro - I think they came out in about 2003 or 4.

The other earlyish frames that worked quite well were the Stumpjumpers and the Marin Mount Vision from c99.

The stickers will be removed tomorrow as soon as it gets home.

I know its not quite retro, but its an antique of the future!!!!!!!

It will get me going until i find something better but for £150 i cant go far wrong and its only 50 miles up the road. When i'm done with it, i can pass it to my mother..

Will look up the stump jumper. circa 99 is kind of when i swapped 2 wheels for 4 wheels (along with the enlarged stomach) Really, I suppose i'm looking to pick up where i left off.

Definitely Proflex for me

I never quite saw the interest in ProFlex.

Not one for my list, but did find a nice carbon proflex frame on ebay in the US for 22USD

First FS bike I rode was a Santa Cruz Tazmon, and I still haven't ridden anything that does everything better. I suppose that's why I've still got mine!

Some chap had one on ebay last week, there's no justice in this world that it failed to get a bid.

I like the santa cruz type frames. The other one is the early Klein FS frame.

I am looking for 15" - 16" frames really as Mum blessed me with short legs. But i'm doing better than her, as she's not much taller than her profile pic in real life!

Looks good

But has an extreme form of unified rear triangle. A design style that did not stand the test of time.

Unlike the Rocky Mountain Element, which is still in production in an almost identical design to this day.

Maybe I was a tad harsh there, but was eating a ham salad at the time that would have been soooo enhanced by a spoonfull of your Mums amazing onion relish!!

Dont know anything about Mums onion relish. I'm glad i've found her hiding place now so i can keep a keen eye on her.

Carl, i had missed this one. Unfortunately, i have returned home today from Birminham with a soon-to-be-retro Club Roost XC4 frame.

Ebay has supplied me a set of hope/mavic wheels and i have heard wispers about some RockShox SIDs on their way to me too!

If you could all PM my Mum (CAS) and insist that she buy this childhood dream for me, i would be very grateful.
