Front fork(if going project 2 should be 410mm axle to crown-Triple Butted and I think 138mm threaded steerer(not 100%) been a while

Maybe Anthony or al-onestare resident Kona gurus can confirm ?

Oh and if you need it I sourced a very close colour match via my local generic car parts supplier .. I'm sure the paint code is on touch up bottle I can check if you want the code ?

Good luck

Thanks for the info and the link to the catalogue, very helpful indeed

I've just seen you're in Edinburgh, so it may be a little while before we get to met up!

Just bought some stuff, so now I've got to wait for it to arrive

As well as a few other things, I've purchased a XT737 front chainset and cassette, and a XT739 front derailleur

What I'm wondering now is, what rear derailleur should I get?
Should I get a 739 to match the front one, or a 737 to match the gears?

Or, are they all compatible? in which case it would make absolutely no difference?

739 on the rear mech can't remember why but I am sure it's better. 737 cantis are nice but hard to find compete without cracked washers.

Avoid the M737 rear mech. It looks almost identical to the M739 but the main pivot is pathetically narrow on the former and becomes sloppy very quickly.

Re:

Thanks, appreciate the reassurance

I thought the 737 crankset looks like the OEM ones that were fitted but are of a higher quality, and will match will match the other components I'll be fitting

Just need them to arrive now so I can take some pictures and get them fitted

Hey man,
Nice bike! I would just thoroughly clean it, fix it technically and drive it for a while.
It will have patina, but it looks good enough as it is! My cup of tea ofcourse!

Best regards, Marcel

Re:

Thanks for the compliment Marcel!

It's looking nice that it was the other day. I've given it a bit of a cleaning during my lunch breaks, but still needs a little work

With the exception of the chainset, all the bits I've ordered are NOS, so we'll have to see what it looks like when they're fitted

Maybe it'll look good, maybe the condition of the frame will let it down

Personally I think a bit of touch up paint and new decals should do the job, but I'll wait until the bits arrive before I do anything else
