Still coming, but slower than planned
Hello everyone,
Thanks for your interest in, and enthusiasm for, my RIDER T1 tyres. They are coming, but more slowly than I had hoped.
With the dramatic reduction in global passenger plane flights recently, air freight capacity via couriers like DHL Express is way down, especially for larger shipments.
For example, it was feasible to rush a box of twenty tyres for distribution at the Keyesville Classic race this past weekend in California. Hat tip and gratitude to Ray Cruz for his order of two pairs and the picture of his lovely, red Ritchey, resplendent in RIDER T1s.
This action saved the cost and effort of my US-based logistics partner shipping pairs to participants who had pre-ordered. Terra One will donate 100% of the shipping costs paid on orders picked up at the event to the organizers, hoping to ensure that we’ll be able to preserve history, build community and ride frequently together there in future editions.
However, it was not feasible to get planned bulk shipments in the hundreds to the UK, USA, EU and Switzerland on the same timeline at a reasonable price. Those are due to depart the factory in Thailand this week.
I hope that mail services will be operating once the bulk shipments arrive. I‘ve already had to change the plans for shipments to the EU, as I can no longer cross the border into Germany to mail tires from there to keep freight costs low and eliminate import duty charges. I‘ll ship EU orders from either Switzerland or the UK for now, and have held back quantities planned for the EU at the factory until the borders open again.
I appreciate your patience while I overcome these unexpected logistical obstacles. I won’t open my web store to accept new orders until all paid pre-orders have been shipped. If you missed out on the pre-order, and want some tyres ASAP, please contact me, and I‘ll do my best to make it happen for you.
Ride as much as you (safely & solo) can,
Terrance Malone
