New Project 1995/6 M2 S-Works.

Hey all

After selling my original one whithout wheels for £75 many moons ago i regretted ever since. so when this came up i had to have it.

I couldnt find a 1993/4 one.

Its a 17" in mint condition, just needs a good clean polish.

kind fancied a JMC Replica but the FSX i used to own died and never really rated them. soo....


Parts so far ive got.

NOS middleburn wheelset.inc skewers. mavic 217 Sup Cd';s
Rockshox Judy DH , basically new.
Middleburn chainset with pace chainrings.
Red poshift rear mech
Syncros stem
XTR front mech and shifters.
NOS panaracer Smoke tires.
NOS AC silver headset.
Magura HS33's in raceline yellow with carbon boosters.

Bars Uknown/post Unkown.Saddle yet.

nice frame and great choice of components

was thinking of doing myself a replica of Bart Brentjen's bike - either red or golden frame, with XTR 95x, Magura Race Line hydro stoppers, Crossmax first gen. and a Manitou SX Ti - most of the parts I have, but no frame laying arround

WOW!! can't wait for more pictures. I owned a couple of Stumpy's, but your frame is imho one of the nicest frames Specialized build...

Nice frame! But i don't belive it's a 95-96. I used to race a 95 S Work and the only difference with the 96 is the color around the letter. 95 are with with black contour, 96 are wite withe blue contour.

The thing that thell me your frame is younger than that is the rencort at the headset and botom tube. The 95-96 didn't have this renfort.

I must be a 97-98 something as the suspension travel increased people keep breaking frame at the head tube. I remember friends of mind have broke at least 2 our 3 specialised, the last time they broke it specialized gave them the new version with the renfort.


Anyway nice frame! i used to love it, even if a little to stiff, hard on the back. and i was only 16...

Will defenitivly follow this build.
