A great day out in November crisp and dry weather!

'Newmillerdam' has some history from hunting grounds to industrial purpose. Now, very well connected to cycle routes and various tracks that seem to go on forever, just how we like it!

Many thanks to slmracing (stu) for going above and beyond to sort the ride out for us. This is a little known area and local knowledge breaks down those barriers for geographic diversity. cheers, it just makes the region stronger and more attractive.

Really good to catch up with...

andy, honorary retro rider for the day. soon to a member here, YES! you heard.

Please post here your pics and words from today's ride. I have some pics to throw in , just need to sort through them.

cheers.

This is how to start the day....

Ready for action? bellies aching from what had just been eaten. :)

I have a thing for ruins and points of interest, sandal castle never disappoints.

If you go down to the woods today....No bears, a bear valley though!

What a laugh in the woods in new miller dam, the roots weren't all visible and the leaf litter proved a nuisance to navigate the trail.

Don't lock the rear brake on these green boards with muddy tyres. :)

A fitter, wheelie pulling spudly.

Look out spud, there is competition!

Don't you just want to jump in!

Yeah, autumn is here, winter is near, the leaves are in the wrong place.

Bridge over troubled water.

Trebz, just chillin'.

See you all again.

thanks.

Great ride again this year Stuart. Many thanks for hosting once again and thanks to all others who attended and made it such a pleasurable get together.

Great banter, great weather and the mileage was just right.

Are waking this the official 'Kona Day' ride?

Now this was a great ride, thanks chaps. I could explore the woods and lakes and Aire and Calder Navigation paths round Wakey all day. I really enjoyed it. And no need to wash the bike. Who could ask for more!

Cheers guys , great company , great ride and great weather , what more could you ask for , happy with the way the Lava Dome worked too but I've given it back to the wife till next year now (going to have to get her used to clippy pedals).

Awesome ride, really enjoyed it, oh and ive replaced the cones and bearings on my hub,one side wasd totally dry, and the new axle came with spacers that i didnt need to use as i used my original ones with recessed bits for the rubber seals, the spacer washers were perfect to bring my middle chainring away from the outer ring, thus straightening my chainline and moving the middle ring away from the outer so the chain cannot jam between rings again, and i can get all my gears now, yeyyyy!

Just need a new topring as ive worn mine out :-(

Will post my pics tomorrow,
Big thanks to stu for organising this ride (a job well done) good route, good company and good weather...

What more could you ask for...
