Some understandable comments about that headtube. Still looks good and faithful to Merlins of yore.

Head-tube horrible...disc mount horrible, the chain stay/seat stay brace is horrible. It's horrible
Seat stays horrible, chain stays horrible. Top tube down tube intersection horrible. Nice decals

Looking at it I wonder if they avoided the heinous crime that would be a bent down tube by coming up with that head tube arrangement. Agree I would like to see something a bit neater done with that rear disc area too, but I guess that F+F is what 50% less that what a new Merlin frame would have cost in 93?

You've got to be losing stiffness with that headtube arrangement and it looks wrong

There's at least an inch of head tube below the downtube. At least stick a gussett in there.

...headtube junction looks like a Yeti DJ - still not convinced I would trust it to take too much abuse though :|
