New inch pitch chain

Found this on eBay. It’s the 4th new one I’ve found there over 5-6 years. It’s not a block chain but will serve as back up for inch pitch block chains on my vintage track bikes. Two were laminated block chains.

I’ll educate you a little. Early bicycle chains didn’t have rollers. They were blocks of steel riveted together. They were inch pitch, sometimes called skip tooth. Modern chains are 1/2 inch pitch.
Inch pitch drive roller chain. Later chain because it has rollers instead of blocks.
A laminated block chain has no rollers but the metal slabs are thin sheet metal held together by the rivets.

Even more so when you consider that they stopped making this stuff 60 or 70 years ago! Can't imagine what a nos chain would go for, used ones are above $100. Very cool score

$200, but where are you going to find another one. A lot of the used ones are more that that.
