new here, let me show you my 1994 Boulder Defiant.

under the radar

Dirt Disciple
hello, i just stumbled across this forum and am delighted to see that there are so many people who enjoy old MTBs. i have a few pre '95 bikes and i feel like the early 90s was a special halcyon time for mountain bikers and our bikes, a pioneering time that we will never see again.

here's some crappy quick pictures of one of my bikes...in 1992, when i was in high school and a junior class Norba racer, this is the bike that i drooled over in the bike shop window, i couldn't afford it then...but now, i can afford to build it up the way i would have liked and it is still a wonderful bike to ride on the trails...is it as fast and smooth as my modern Santa Cruz? no...but it's just as much fun.

Re:

Welcome :)
I like the Boulder, think it deserves some better pics and a bit more background story to it, like where you found it? What parts have you hung off the frame? How does it ride? (Soft-tail frame?).

+1

I like the design of these frames, not seen very often on here. There's been one or two lovely restoration projects of these bikes on the forum
Welcome back to the past! ;) Some on here go back even further than the '90s. But not me!
