Alas I spoke too soon, upon unwrapping the bottom bracket the guys at the LBS found a paint chip about the size of a fingernail, suffice to say none of us were that impressed and the bike has been sent back to UK distributors WindWave.
Windwave rang the LBS last week to tell them that the frame is to be returned to Italy to be re-painted and, even though they have summer shutdown shortly, they've estimated that the bike will be back in the UK in 2 to 3 weeks. Given the amount of delays and false promises I've had so far, I'm not holding my breath.
Love Colnago bikes but buying one brand new has been a VERY frustrating experience.
