New build planned!...ideas on spec?

I've just bought a new (to me) ti frame. The hope is I'll get well enough to ride it, but if not, to enjoy planning the build spec, sourcing parts and building it!

It's a 1997 frame that I intend to build with a light but 'solid' spec. With that in mind, I have an idea of the spec below, but thought it might be an added element to discuss!...so, would welcome thoughts, comments, ideas on the proposed spec too

Some parts I already have - marked *** The rest I'll need to source!

Frame: FAT ti
Fork: SID (32mm stantion) or Fox - I have both! ***

Headset: King - rasta
Stem: Ritchey WCS ***
Handlebar: Race Face Next SL riser - would prefer a flat for looks, but need rise for comfort!
Grips: ESi ***

Brakes: Avid ti Vs
Levers: Avid ti ***

Shifters: Sram X0 9spd - trigger
Front Derailleur: 34.9 TP - sram or xtr - whatever is lightest!
Rear Derailleur: Sram X0 9 spd

Cassette: probably xtr M970 9 spd
Chain: KMC 9SL ***
Cranks: Race Face Turbine ***

Chainrings: Real alloy ***
Bottom Bracket: Stronglight titanium ***
Pedals: Onza Ho ti ***

Hub Skewers: Salsa ti rasta
Wheels: Mavic SLR
Tyres: Tubeless - probably Rocket Ron / Racing Ralph

Saddle: Flite ***
Seatpost: 29.4 titanium

The Pauls would be worth considering; I'll keep an eye out. I have Avid ti levers already and been offered some ti Vs, so will fit those first I reckon.

I like the look of the Mavic SLR wheels as they have colours on them to go with the King rasta!

I thought of going with M950, but the X0 stuff is lighter! :mrgreen:

Just cleaned am m950 cassette. They do feel very light !!!
