New Build- Everything required!!!

A frame as classy as that deserves a subtle silver & black build, maybe some XTr grey, similar to how I'm headed with my Alibi - they'll make a lovely pair! Looks like you might be headed that way anyhow...?

Did have a disc/v combo for a while (thinking about it, I still do!), just for practicality (I mean power), but when it goes to it's rigid/lightweight incarnation there'll need to be Vs all round.

Hang on, this is turning into a hijack!

Lovely frame, keep it simple and let the hazy sun pick out the aluminium shine...

Or take no notice of me, I won't take any offence - I'm colourblind anyway

Actually, scratch the grey - my Ibis logo is on a grey background, but just noticed your's is black, so just black & silver.

Did notice the white writing on my new all-black tyres liven's things up where it picks out the lettering on the frame. Seems daft but it's really sharpened the bike up! Might look out for more bits with white on black...

I'd better find something else to look at for a while.

It is lovely though...

HAHA those two post made me laugh. As far as I can tell atm it is getting silver and black mostly black and It'll also be getting some that XTR grey you mentioned- how else would I be able to change gear?

Some nice light X0 carbon grip-shifters seemed like a good idea to me - I'll let you know if they were once they're fitted! ;)

I'm not doing a 'proper' period piece, but twist-shift always feels sort of retro, to me at least, even though they're still current... :s

Gotta love some XTr though!

never got on with gripshift myself, always preferred rapid fire. too a certain extent building a bike properly period can seem silly I mean I want to be able to ride my bikes so spending ££££££££ on NOS or period parts isn't as appealing as maybe spending the same or less in some cases on modern counterparts that do the same job if not better, light, and are easier to maintain as parts are more readily available*
* this does not obviously apply to all componentry, and I can see the point in having a bike built as it would've come out of the shop but to me that's for looking at not riding.

but yeah who's got some stuff for me? I have sights set on xtr rear mech and a Saddle....

Sti's any use to you?

Really sorry forgot to get back to you, I'm going to say no and hold out for some xtr thanks tho.

I distracted him with my rambling...

Have an XTr bottom normal (is that the same as rapid rise?) M960 (98% certain) in very nice condition; ebay seems to be saying £40+, so I'll say £30 posted ;)
Or better still, swap for an X0(/X9) short/med cage!
