My daughter wanted one that short. The reach on her Kilauea was just a bit much. I swapped it to 100mm ahead for her. Had to use one of those adapters.

Fingers crossed I can get to it this weekend coming. I’m going to try and get the parts off the lava dome this week and get it rebuilt ready for sale. That way I’ll only have to juggle two bikes in the kitchen. Or maybe out on the patio if the sun comes out?

Cranks arrived today, I’m running a little behind schedule but still hope to make progress this weekend.

That’s the Cinder Kobe done for the wife. Time to sort out the Kilauea now . Thanks FC, one of those would be handy for my daughters Kilauea. I’ll keep an eye out for one.

Haha, I’m not looking to collect them all. Just the Explosif and that’s me done. I’ll probably give my daughter the 96 Kilauea and sell hers if I can find the right Explosif. Oh and my new Kilauea is done for now . Fingers crossed I can get out for a shakedown ride tomorrow. Not much of a build thread I know, I was in the zone and only took finished pics. Still need to rebuild the wheels around XT hubs. Need Gil to get back from his hols so I can source a new head tube decal, and I still need to give the bike a good clean.

Looking good! I feel like this colour is underrated. It doesnt show as well in pictures as it does in real life.
