Sometimes you don't think twice, as I haven't seen till yet the completed repair of the Daccordi frame and how it has been repainted, I decided to purchase a back up frame , my choice oriented itself very easily on a Cannondale CAAD4 made in the USA at very good price from a german seller where I have bought ton of stuff before. I didn't choose flamboyant colors like the saeco or anything flashy, I haven't gone with CAAD7-CAAD8 optimo route which would be above my budget due to import customs and duties and who are mostly for sale outside Europe especially in the UK and in the USA. I baught a 1999 grey colored model in almost new condition.
I already have an Alcoa custom road frame a trek 2300SLR, an Altec Or Daccordi Fly road frame, an Altec 2 Veneto Art Decor Frame as projects, the CAAD4 made of Alcalyte was one of the best aluminium frame of its time. If it ever becomes a project (none never knows), it will naturaly become a fully dura ace 7800 equipped bike with zipp 808 or 404 wheels ,with a fsa or a duraace crank with conti 4 seasons .

Mine will have the 3T Mutant Ahead set stem and 3T Mutant bar , a Cane Creek Headset, a FSA ISIS Carbon Crank, Mavic Cosmic Carbone SSC Wheels and will be full Dura Ace 7800. Thinking of a Flite evolution saddle on it.
