Narrow Wide Chainring 180° flip?

According to the Shimano website, their chains are indeed directional. It's why the logos and type are only stamped on one side. Face the stamping away from the frame, and your chain is on correctly

A huge thank you to @Betsy who sent me some 'cleaning products' for the cost of postage.
3 amazingly well packaged bottles, x2 pipettes and even some latex gloves to complete the PPE requirements! Top stuff!

I will post updates on the decal removal when I get a few hours to work on the bike.

Indeed, thats a fantastically obvious point, chains and rings are entirely different things. Thank you for clarifying. I wanted to provide accurate information regarding chains after incorrect statements were made on page one. I didn't want to single out the poster's error by quoting their words. Again, thank you for your contribution.
