Morning all, i've just acquired these cheap as they need seals and the disc mount is broken. I'm not sure of the model, they have a 1 cast into the bottom of one leg so i'm assuming they are 2001 forks.
Air oil with valves on both legs. Obviously I don't want to order seals before I know what i've got.
Any help gratefully recieved

they like like MZ Comp Air - like a Z4 Air but more recent - but don't buy your seals based on my limited knowledge! I know you can get Bomber decals on eBay in loads of colour though

Are we confident with MZ Comp air? I don't think there are many different types of seals, it might just be a question of buying the right diametre.

75% maybe :? what diam are the stanchions... 30mm?

All 30mm diameter stanchions (those forks) use the same seals from '96 to current. Oil height will probably be 50mm from the top with legs fully compressed.
Fork could be something like an MXC, came before the MX Comp.

If you call UK distributor (Windwave) with the serial number on the back of the crown (in-line with the steerer tube) they can tell you exactly what it is. If the serial number is on the left or right where the stanchion inserts and starts with a letter, the fork is an OE model.

No. They are definitely NOT MZ comps. MX comps maybe (very different) or more likely 2002 EXR airs. They EXRs became the MX comp in 2003, and didnt exist in 2001 (though there was a MXC IIRC which was almost identical to the EXR).

All of that aside you need these in 30mm size.
