what about a Hahana

In the 2002 catalogue the Hahana is described as a "trimoly" frame so maybe not, unless that is aluminium.

Yes, possibly early noughties base model. The Hahanna in the pic is alloy too.

Definitely not that frame. Very different around the rear drop outs.

Looking carefully at the 2002 catalogue it looks like the Nunu, Blast, Fire Mountain, Hahana and Lanai are all aluminium frames with the same geometry and no disc brake brackets so it could be any of those.
I think that is the mystery solved. Thanks for all the input.

I think I will scrap the frame since the BB threads are knackered and settle for having bought a set of OK wheels, decent tyres, XT rear mech and XT STIs, LX front mech and crankset and the all important triple butted P2s. I'm happy with that.
