Found this frame for sale, initially thought it may have been a HT Manitou but i'm not sure, any ideas? or does anyone recognise the logo on the headtube?

yep agreed, but I dont think it is, I think the key to finding out will be in the stays and the machined chainstay bridge, I would be interested to find out as I might buy it if it's something decent

As it has crud catcher bosses on it I'd suggest it is a UK designed frame - possibly one of the shop specials from Merlin or All Terrain. Probably one of their better ones as it has the nice chainstay detail. Vastly underrated frames mostly, normally the higher up ones are very good quality and very light.

I wouldn't pay loads for it but it looks like a really nice frame.

Could be totally off here, but it reminds me of some (i believe) swiss buid bikes. Syvasi, or something like that. Cant remember really. Someone help me out please.

The head tube logo tells me it's a Chaka: I bought a cheap Chaka freeride frame from Germany (possibly hibike.de) around the year 2000 which was a Norco clone. I don't know if the brand even exist anymore, but they looked like they came from the same factory (possibly from taiwan) as the bigger brands, but from different production line..

For me this frame looks like an A-Pro frame which Kuwahara used too - among many others.

Heres the detail that was listed with the frame:

This frame is of unknown origin. It had a whole lot of XT components and Magura brakes on it so it must have been the business in it's day. Plenty of unique features on this one I like a lot but it's too small for me to keep.

Three bottle mounts, and a set of mud flap mounts. No disc tabs.

I'll include the seatpost (350mm x 30.4mm) and the threadless headset (early diatech type before they used star nuts in the steerer).

Takes a 68mm BB. Weight without seatpost but with collar and headset races is 1.91 kg.
