My prized Raleigh which year?

Hi everybody i m new on retro bike so go easy.
I have put on some pics of my 1986{i think} Lightweight Raleigh racing competition., with Shimano 105 set up. Cheers.

Thats a sweet ride, i have a 1982 raleigh competition (much different to yours, light pearl blue in colour and the early 80's raleighs were still doing campag bits. mines a 531, is yours the 501?).

I also have a 1987 raleigh centenary with the same 105 groupset as yours.

Have you tried the frame number decoder (i found it thru google but it only covers up to early 80's bikes, and it can get vague trying to decode late 80's raleigh 501 bikes).

My raleigh is the reynolds 501 model. Thanks for tip on frame decoder, i will definately try it. Is there a photo i can look at on retro bike of your centenary bike , i would love to look at it. Thanks for reply.

If you need any more info on it I have the catalogue from that year with the full spec in 22.5lbs for the 23" frame is very respectable
