My obsession with cranksets

I love this thread. The first thing I would upgrade when I got a new bike would be the cranks. Usually Cooks or Grafton. Always wanted Bullseye though.

Those WRA's are nice, very similar to Roox Spinning Max's from about 10 years ago.

Yeah, very similar indeed... but somehow these look a little cleaner IMO... Wink

460g as you see them, so don't know how that compares to RooX's?
They are having very similar design, but WRA (Wrangler Racing Austria) are drilled (they're empty inside - look for photo below ) - RooX wasn't if I remember well About RooX weight - You could ask Jojopunx - he was having them and weight them for sure!

And following the topic - nice TNT cranks from me :)

Indeed, the cranks are drilled in the WRA and ALWAYS arms were heavier than RooX.
WRA' crank material is brittle and often cracked.
were also "STEINBACH STONE CRANK" and some of them were drilled, and some were full of arms.
Here are a few of them on the scales in different sizes:

I picked these silver/red Cro-magnon cranks up a little while back.....

Never seen or heard of them before. I'm guessing a short-lived company?

as I know many brands have this cranks in offer in lot of versions - all of them had same shape of arms, difference was CNC finish

I also saw a set with holes through the arms - but can't find photo now...

CPI started showing those cranks at the Taipei show in 1993 and anybody that wanted to buy them could get the main shape altered and logo'd anyway they wanted to their own spec. The samples they had in their booth had a very heavy CNC mill finish. Never really thought it was a good crank or design and from what I remember they had a wide q-factor.
