My next project - sneak peek

Just couldn't resist this as found on eBay...
Will be replacing my 2011 Zaskar Sport frame with the Zaskar Race, ten years older but more classy (I'd like to think).
Looking forward to this.
My understanding is that this 2001 GT Zaskar Race was the last to be made in US (stated on Easton sticker on seat tube, but correct me if I am wrong).
Further updates will be posted as soon as I get the frame and have time to transfer most parts.
It is by no means going to be catalogue spec, as for this build I just want it to be my own and functional for a daily ride to enjoy.

I had one of these for years with full M95* and SID's, loved it.
If you look on the downtube where black becomes grey, on the r/h side should be the Easton logo stamped in.

I will check this when I get the frame, thanks. Either way, it should look good with the wheels and fork that are currently on my 2011 Zaskar Sport.

I sold one of these about 6 months ago. My understanding was that they were made in Taiwan. The tubing was made in the USA though.
Thanks!
I do think the 2001 Zaskar Race is a better looking frame than the later ones, including my current Zaskar, not overly keen on those weird shapes of tubes, angular and hydroformed..

The Zaskar Race frame came today, so I took a couple of photos before the frame swap. 😁
It does indeed have a stamp with the Easton Logo and 7005 under it, I was under the impression that all Zaskars were made from 6061 aluminium, But I am obviously wrong in that. However, It is a very light frame and I don't expect there to be much difference in weight between this and my 2011 Zaskar Sport frame.

I hope to find some time this weekend to get started with the frame swap but as I am working all weekend I hope I'll have some energy left after my commute and from work.🚴‍♀️
