my new/old project

Hey guys I've got the bug again and decided to pull out of the shed my first mtb frame and build a daily cruiser with it. It's nothing special I paid nearly £200 for the frame and original forks back in 95 from the giant shop in Cowley Road, Oxford. I have know idea what make it is but it has very interesting top and down tubes with a twisted effect. I think it's bear/polished or cromed cromoly with has some surface rust so I was looking for any advice on get that off before I have to go down the powder coating route.

Think the frame should be clearcoated. I'll have a look tomorrow at a frameset from a friend. Oh... it' a Checker Pig.

try rubbing some cooking foil over the rust spots, quite firmly....
