My Italian and Belgian bikes

You appear to have kindly assembled my dream bike collection. Let me know your address and I'll be round to collect presently. 😄

Absolutely love the bikes, all very much my taste. I really don't need any more steel bikes but a fancy Somec would be irresistible! Nice colour match on the pedals..

My OCD was gnawing at me that the seatpost on my Max Tommassini had been ultrasonically cleaned (not by me) and was dull and grey and not shiny and chrome to match the bikes chrome seatstays and seattube lug, so I had to replace it with a shiny silver one instead.

Also managed to source a Ofmega Mistral crank for the bike to replace the 1st gen Chorus one I had, and thanks to Wayne at Pedal Pedlar who fast tracked a sunday delivery of a matching Ofmega BB so I could get it fitted before end of the weekend.

Just managed to snap a few pics before sunset which explain
the pinky hue, but much prefer the look of the bike now. 1000013355.jpg 1000013349.jpg

I finally got around to contacting Pinarello for some more info on my Team Mercatone Roberto Petito lo-pro...

..and they got back and confirmed it was a team bike dating from 1995. I did ask if they could confirm if the frame was made by Dario Pegoretti as I'd heard he built all the Pnarello team frames, and if they had any idea of the mix uf tubing, but they replied that info was not available/more effort than its worth for a megacorp to dig up.

1000016860.jpg And i made a few mods to my early Team Panasonic from 1985. Adding white Flite and Shamal clinchers. It's a bit small for me really so I dont ride it much, but as a result it's in great condition considering frame is 40 years old this year.

Still cold enough that I'm pretending I'm the don of cool from the Team Panasonic era, Phil Anderson riiding around in this...

...I just need to get some original Oakley Eyeshades. Just waiting for some sunshine to show off all that chrome (Wednesday at the earliest apparently), and the start of the classics season.
