Thanks to everyone for the feedback, given the consensus that it ought to be stripped for parts (something that makes my stomach churn given this bike was my pride and joy) I will be keeping hold of it.

It's that as with most things, you will get more for it selling the individual parts, selling the whole bike is still a viable option, not as profitable, but quicker and you are not left with the bits no one wants after picking the choice parts.

Personally I like it as is, except the brakes. I’d do something strange and change it to V brakes.
