CrankedAdventures
Retro Newbie
Good afternoon everyone. I thought I would post here as this project doesn't seem to fit in any other catagories (but as im new, I could be mistaken)
Last year I started a Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@CrankedAdventures) to share my love of bikes and cycling. As part of the channel launch, I decided I wanted to start a project bike. I had never done one before, and thought it would be a great idea. With the encouragement of a friend, i ended up buying two Raleigh shoppers (a Twenty and a Solitaire) for £25, and started the rebuild of one of them. I was planning on a quick strip, paint and rebuild but the more I did, the more parts I bought, the more my budget got left behind. If your intersted, I wll link the build videos bown below. If you not interested, I've added a before and after picture.
Part 1 - The Strip Down
Part 2 - Frame Prep
Part 3 - Paint Time
Part 4 - The Reveal
Since completing this shopper, i have finished another project (saving a bike from being scrapped) and ive also started another shopper (currently working on the editing) and i find myself constantly looking for the next project. Thsi little shopper has really lit a fire in me and has been an absolute hoot to ride.
Anyway, thanks for reading and ill be interested to see what you think of the finished bike. I know its not to everyones taste, but it is to my taste.
Enjoy
