My Dawes Genesis...A lost machine from the dawn of creation?

Dawes Genesis 531 Comp frame and forks. Circa 1995 (I think) with aftermarket 1056 groupo and some hacking for TT runs (replacing the original 400EX Exage setup).


Rebuild number 1 after ten odd years in my garden shed...



Rebuild number 2 after I was given a set on 105-5800 STIs and mechs.


She's my commute and weekend worrier machine when the rain's not pressing (then the MTB comes out). Re-spray on the cards at some point, as is a lighter wheel set (maybe)

I've never seen another Genesis...and only one internet image (a poor one). Same spec as the Impulse from 1993/1994. Is it a lost Dawes cycle? Has anyone else ever seen one? Let me know...Cheers.

I see one on a daily basis in my garage. Bought it second hand a couple of years ago. Currently off the road as I need to replace the wheels. Also need to change the brake levers, and deal with a stuck stem. Hoping to get it back on the road soon.
