Music.

You have good taste in music Ally. 8)

al.

Not worth a sticky, there's so many different views no one thread will ever suffice.

Cheers Al, think you are the first person who has ever said that to me. My work-mates think i'm a bit unhinged I think.

Music has got me thorough some very hard times in life though, so its value is imeasurable to me.

My taste is varied perhaps, but I try to see the value in most forms of it.

I see now all the thing I've missed from a list, Tom Waits, Sonic Youth, Black Flag, Miles davis, Modern Lovers, Daniel Johnstone, Found, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Silver Jews/Pavement, Michael Mara,,,,,and-on-and-on-and-on.

Regardless, I'm very interested in new music, so a thread might be the way for me and other to find out about new stuff.

Music threads, like the car threads, hi-fi threads, etc. come and go.

Just about every forum I am on has the same types of threads in the general section.

If there were stickies for all of them the first few pages would all be stickies!

I think we may have been seperated at birth?

VU, The Byrds, Gram Parsons, Emylou Harris, The Stooges, Phil Oches, Jonny Cash, Subhumans, Ryan Adams, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, North Mississippi Allstars, Culture Shock, Coctaeu Twins, Crass, Woody Guthrie, Oi Polloi, T rex, Dolly Parton, Amebix, The Carpenters, Alison Krauss The Chameleons etc.............

al. :D

Al: Yeah man, i'm with you there.

Particularly the GP (and Flying Burrito Brother) stuff. Another side of this life and all that. Magic.

I liked the JD link, I hadn't seen that one. Ian Curtis - what can you say to that?

Should have said in addition to the above, everything I buy is still in vinyl format. I can't see past it for good reproduction and an overall enjoyable music experience.
