Music fans please help

Hi all,many years ago(1981 ish)we got our first video recorder and my dad video'd Not the Nine o'clock news and proceeded to watch it over and over and over again.Being only 8 I didnt really get the all the adult humor,but a couple of the tunes have stuck in my head,and after re-visiting the NTNOCN on Youtube and listening to those tunes,I still don't know who recorded them or which songs they are part of.

If anyone could identify the clip of music @.58sec to 1.30
and the clip @5.40 to 5.55 I would be really really great full,as its doing my head in.

I had been listening to Tom Petty stuff trying to find them,so I was getting close

Anytime Anyplace Anywhere now bought off the bay.

Interesting to find they were connected to Lynyrd Skynyrd .
