Anybody know anything about this bike, is it good, got good parts,i cannot find anything including pictures about this bike its from the mid nineties i reckon and in dark green.
cheers.

I have a mid 90s Trailblazer sport and it is terrible. I lent it to a friend to use. Hard work to ride despite it having 700c wheels. Mine is a copper/burgundy colour.

I also have an 88 Trailblazer that I am currently restoring which is a lovely bike to ride.

Is your one like this? (image from eBay - completed listing here

If so this is different from the 'green' one, which I think is earlier. The green one has three sets of cable guides on the cross bar and a beautifully bent piece of thin tubing to act as a cable guide to the rear cantilever so there is no outer around the seat post. With all the cables going across the top, it also has a top pull front derallieur, and it has a rear mono-stay. .

Mine also has a biopace Deore LX crankset, which I think is original, so presumably makes it pre-1993.

It is quite heavy though - I haven't removed the headset races or the bottom bracket yet but given that with them the frame weights 3.4kg/7.5lb and the forks 1.4kg/3lb it's not light. Looks utterly bomb-proof though. It's going to be my everyday bike, but until then I'm using my MF Pathfinder.

Re:

I don't have many of it assembled - it's just a frame at the moment, and in hindsight, taking pictures of a green frame against a green hedge wasn't a great idea. Here's what I do have:

Frame: You can see the welded on tube to ensure the brake cable exits centrally at the back, and the guides for the front derallieur cable. I've sanded off a bit of paint near the BB to see how bad the rust was - just surface thankfully.

Rear monostay:

Frame sticker (there is no imprinted paw print or Tange sticker):

Should add that I got the weights (a bit) wrong. But it's heavy.

The frame as shown, with BB, headset races and rear callipers is 3687g (8lb) and the forks are 1040g (2.3lb) but they do have a bit of stem stuck in them still.

Is your 1988 a drop-bar one @jimwise68?

EDIT - the forks are just over 800g with the stem out :)
