Muddy Fox Pathfinder 1990 build

Hanging on a garage wall for 19 years. I picked this up. It's a lovely bike mind. I think everything bar the back tyre was original. 20 years of non movement to sort out but just going to try and keep it as is as much as I can and get it on the road again.

I've managed to start cleaning and taking apart stuff. I was going to do yellow and pink cables hence the grips but all the original yellow ones are ok so I'll stay yellow...

I was going to bin the saddle but thought ahhh fock it so gonna have a first go at reupholstering the saddle - is there a particular kinda leather you go for that's workable or what?? I'm thinking a mustard yellow leather or one of the colours from the decals. Never done it before.

I have been and got a lovely off cut of leather in a mustard yellow to reupholster the saddle. I've also had to lose the brakes as they actually exploded when I tried to move them. Plastic ones to be fair. It's cleaning up canny. Will update on the upholstery if it goes to plan

Love these, a mate used to have one. Think it was a combination of the colour and the flat low stem that appealed to me.

Picked up a nice off cut of leather for the saddle from a great little store in Newcastle that's been here for a while. The shop were great at giving me some advice on reupholstering the saddle. I've never tried doing this but I reckon I can make it look ok.
