It's pretty comparable re weight, sizing, perhaps a bit stiffer :?

I hope to give it a proper ride out on Sunday in Brandon so will get a better feel for things then.

Its maiden voyage was fine albeit the bearings in the front wheel howling!

Afraid I can't at the moment, my knowledge only extends up to 1991/2 and after that it gets a bit sketchy about the time I guess where decent Muddyfox's to BSO ratio went wrong.
I think the Monachs were the highend steel bikes from what I've seen with the Alu range (sport, pro and team) covering funnily enough the better Aluminium framed models.
I got hold of a Ranger mega which had the terrible and heavy MFX400 sus forks, gas pipe frame and cheap components. Not as bad as a current MFX but not as good as the early stuff.
This is certainly the best later (pre-collapse and Universal buyout) Muddyfox we have on here.

Are those just the same stripped and polished Z2's?

I can feel a plan hatching for my Butler if they are.

Impressed with it, it looks a whole heap better for the updates.

I doubt i'll part with either of my Foxes, only add rarer models if and when they come up.

i found a purple monarch team dumped outside a block of flats the other day.

grabbed it for the dmr platforms, but seriously considering throwing the parts in my shed at it for a cheap beater.

does anyone know any more about them?
