This is from 1988/89 (I think?) it was the year before the flourescent ones came out! I'm selling it as I've just bought a new HT and as much as I'd love to keep this and do it realistically I'll never get round to it.
22" Tange Cro-Mo tubing in the crackled effect paint finish. There are some scratches and marks as you'd expect from a bike of this age, but it's not too bad. Original stem (long!) and bars, these are a bit tatty but fullly functional.
QR Shimano hubs and wheels, both true with 26 x 1.95 yellow walled tyres. Front is a Tioga Psycho II, and the rear unbranded but does have a kevlar belt! Both tyres have plenty of tread and are in good condition.
Original equipment includes Exage Country Biopace Chainset (48/38/28 ) and cranks (one crank was replaced by a Raleigh alloy one) and a Mountain LX front mech, this is useable but a bit tatty in honesty.
Over the years I've upgraded the following:
Deore rear mech;
7 speed Hyperglide rear block (11-36t);
Shimano underbar shifters;
Shimano STX RC V-Brakes
Gell saddle (bit tatty now).
The bike is straight and true and rides well, it would benefit from a new front mech (or someone better than me to adjust it ...) and new brake pads, but it would ride away as it is no problems at all.
I'd like £40. I hope I'm not taking the proverbial, but I've looked at previous ad's and taken into account the bike's relative rarity and upgraded spec.
I'll happily post, I understand this would be <£20 but is something I'd look into and confirm for an interest buyer.
