Withdrawn MTB with chainstay mounted u-brake 19" - 21" frame

I quite fancy adding a late 80's MTB with chainstay mounted u-brake to the collection.

Must haves:
- ideally 19" - 21" frame
- good working condition. doesn't need to be mint
- shimano components preferred (ideally deore)

Something like an MS Racing Pro Comp XT (pictured below) would be lovely, but I'll consider anything :- )

I didn't realise these had a U-brake in their lifetime. Must have been '88 as my '89 CR2 (with Deore 2) definitely had rear cantis. Borrowed a friend's Pro Comp XT to race the Grundig International Challenge Trophy race at Aviemore in 1990, but with those straight forks and the terrain my teeth almost fell out! Lovely bikes though.
 
Got this wonderful bike, a 1987 Tech Nova Pro, full Shimano Deore 3x6sp:
